Modern Cube houses
Dutch architect, Piet Blom, designed these unique cube homes or Kubus in Rotterdam. The concept for this modern architectural design has been based on trees, while the entire complex is a forest.
The idea was to create a safe oasis village within a town; the top level is for residential purposes and the bottom is for shops, children’s playground and a school.
It is almost like living in a hive. I love the sloping windows and the overall cubical design. It must feel very strange living in a cube house while every wall is either leaning inward or threatening to collapse.
