It looks like real wood but it’s not. It’s recycled plastic. I found a company based in Johannesburg, South Africa that converts plastic waste into an environmentally friendly product called “Timber Plastics”.
Why cut down our forests when we can use recycled plastic, mold it and shape it into timber to produce a variety of products; from decks and boardwalks to outdoor furniture.
“Currently we re-cycle the equivalent of 37 800 000 plastic bags per month or 2 268 000 2-litre cool drink bottles.”
