Featuring a mahogany veneer box on top of a transparent glass enclosure, this modern home seems as if it is floating in mid air. It’s located in Austin, Texas, surrounded by a beautiful grove of ancient live oaks.
Designed by NY-based architecture firm Peter Gluck and Partners, the structure consists of three floors. The top floor has a few small scattered windows on one side and a large open terrace overlooking an outdoor pool on the other side.
Inside, there’s a beautiful open staircase connecting all three floors.
The lower floor serves as a home office with a nice touch, where a horizontal window gives a glimpse of the the pool.
