The simplicity of the beautiful Pine Forest Cabin is manifested both inside and out. With a small footprint, where two concrete walls cradle a simple box design, this modern 850 sq. ft. cabin hovers over the hillside, enjoying unobstructed views down slope and to the mountains beyond.
Located in Winthrop, Washington, this forest getaway transforms a simple living space into an extended viewing platform.
The modest living space includes a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Interior and exterior wall finish material is 4’x 8′ plywood panels, creating consistency between the two.
Although the cabin is compact in size, an additional storage space was created in the crawlspace. It can be accessed from the back of the house through exterior sliding plywood panel doors.
I love how the entrance allows your view to extend toward the large deck and beyond.
Still interested to find ouit if this cabin is a kit one can buy?
We are in a position to look.
Thanks Anita
Hi Anita, I dont think this is a kit house.
However, I recommend you check with the architects/manufacturer – find the link at the end of our review.
Really like this one…is this a kit you cam buy?
My husband and I have a site in a small town and this id very pretty.
Nice use of timber, both externally and internally. It’s a shame our local planning authorities in the UK appear to be so discouraging of the use of timber in modern buildings. Hopefully they will soon catch on to what others are doing further a field
What are the doors under the balcony, the garage?
It’s actually an additional storage space.
