Here is a great example of a house treading lightly on the ground, or should we say hovering… Nestled in a plot of outstanding natural beauty in the outskirts of Krakow, Poland, this modern home is based on a fully glazed steel frame structure, suspended above the site.
The glass structure connects two stone structures on each end: the pool house on one side and a five story viewing tower on the other. Oh, and let’s not forget the huge tree bursting out of the roof of the open veranda. The house fits perfectly to the site and its surroundings, both in material and layout.
This beautiful house features 150 sq. meters of living area with two main bedrooms and a covered swimming pool.
The house has been built around the existing tower, which provides guest accommodation on the lower floors, and a study at the top. The study space is fully glazed, offering panoramic views of the distant Tatra Mountains.
