Bilbo Baggins Miniature Home: Ever So Tiny

If you loved Lord of the Rings, then you’d probably get a kick out of this charming miniature by Maddie Chambers. What started as a college course project has transformed into an enchanting piece of art, depicting the tiny home of Bilbo Baggins, Bag End.

It took about a year to finish this delightful replica of Bag End. The project started with a little hill with a front door, which became an entire house with a removable roof. Everything was hand crafted – the frame, the furniture and the garden outside. I love this tiny vegetable plot, made with nails, wire twigs for the fence and Fimo for the veg.

As you can see, the details are amazing. Inside, the house is adorned with stained glass windows, tiny furniture and loads of accessories, such as real middle-earth maps printed onto aged paper, scrolls with Bilbo’s handwriting or Elvish, tiny quills from feathers and candles out of Fimo, and even statues of Gandalf, Frodo and Sam made from Fimo with a bronze effect, as well as paintings of Belladonna Took and Bungo Baggins.

The kitchen space is also amazing, with a brick fireplace with logs and firebulb, tiny dished filled with food and a pantry. This project is absolutly wonderful – just to show you what can be achieved with lots of love, time and patience.
