The modern prefab home of industrial designer Debbie Glassberg, in Kansas City, Missouri, is constructed from five metal shipping containers. It features 2,600 sq. ft. of natural light and living space, including geothermal heating, plant foam insulation and passive solar.
This beautiful container home is the prototype of a new project called Home Contained. The house is based on an open plan living space, featuring colorful walls, ranging from bold turquoise to lavender and magenta, and .
In the center of the house you will find a white galley kitchen, with energy efficient appliances, and a large living/dining space. There’s also a home office, and an open master bedroom featuring a his & hers closet and a pampering en-suite bathroom.
Using the extra rooftop space, an edible garden completes this sustainable green home.
