What happens when some of the world’s most famous designers are joined by students of the Lausanne art of school, ECAL in order to translate legends of the past into the language of the present? Even more, what happens when Fernando & Humberto Campana, Louise Campbell, Jean-Marc Gady, Jaime Hayon, Arik Levy, Philippe Nigro and Philippe Stark join forces united under the legendary name of Baccarat? Well, one thing is certain: magic is created.
To be more exact, the new Baccarat collection takes the boundaries of light into a magical, new realm, surpassing even the company’s own history dating back to the mid 19th century, speaking of tradition combined with innovation, extreme refinement and new technologies.
We are talking about Highlights 2013, Baccarat’s exhibition that recently took place at Palazzo Morando. Throughout this special event celebrating the French Art de Vivre, the latest collection was unveiled featuring the creations of the pre mentioned top designers.
From the Eiffel Tower at dawn to the sun setting over the Paris Opera, the exhibition showcased the magic and influence of crystal. the city of lights served as a perfect backdrop, allowing each exhibit whether indoors or outdoors, in one of the many gardens, to show off its hypnotic charms. Brightness, incandescence and sparkle took this collection to new heights.
