Living Cube is a genius and stylish solution to small spaces and storage. It was designed by Till Könneker (illDesigns), constructed by Remo Zimmerli (Holzlabor) and Darren Green (The Old Wood Co.) Born out of necessity, it is another brilliant and simple fix.
When Mr. Könneker moved in to a studio apartment with no storage, he drew up a cube design for his record (yes, music on vinyl) collection, and television. The cube also stores clothing and supports a bed, accessed by a black steel ladder, on top. A disguised door opens to the large interior storage space. Here I imagine a place for your bike, skis, and off-season items.
Available in three models, the Mini, the Urban, and the Wall, there is one to fill every need. Mini has a footprint of 8.5 x 5.25 feet and stands 6.5 feet high. Urban expands to 13 feet in length and maintains the dimensions of Mini in height and depth. Both provide streamlined modern shelving, wardrobe space, enclosed storage, and topping them off, a queen bed platform.
Easily add or exchange elements to customize your piece. Even your Living Cube location has been considered. If floating in a room, all four sides can be utilized. Just let them know your configuration when you order.
Or perhaps you need less storage, the Wall can be built of varying sizes of wardrobes, shelving, and even a desk. The Living Cube is crafted in Switzerland and North Carolina, so it is readily available to help you fully utilize your compact space.
