UM bags

The UM bags were created by Josh Jakus, a Berkeley, California-based designer and they are magnificent. I love the fact that they are sewn from two layers of industrial wool felt made from factory excess – wasting nothing. Recycling at its best.

When unzipped, the UM bag lays completely flat for dry cleaning and easy storage and when zipped, they become functional inspired forms – transforming a flat surface into a volume using the simplest of operations. Available in natural gray, the UM bag comes in four shapes: tote, carry, clutch and hold.
