Safari Tent by Barebones: A Rustic Mansion

safari-tent-barebones

I’m not yet sure if the Safari Tent by Barebones is either a very accommodating tent for extended wilderness retreats or something like an impromptu mansion. The 120 square foot portable home is capable of sleeping eight people and is very spacious. Continue reading

Kettle Pot: Camping made easy with this super light 2 in 1 device

camping-kettle-pot

Even though I love nature and excursions to the lakes and woods only a few walking minutes from home are quite often the case, so far, other then homemade sandwiches and a thermos with water or tea, I haven’t really made more of this experience. Sometimes I wish I had the feeling we are going camping, also adding more time to such outings!
Like cooking a simple meal on the spot for example, or boiling up some fresh herb tea. On the other hand, keeping it simple is really important, too. Being armed like the Nasa is not my cup of tea concerning camping equipment. It might as well be that Biolite’s kettle pot, which is just recently released is a good option to consider, combined with the same brand’s popular Campstove. Continue reading

Cave tent: Bringing Geodesic to the Masses

geodesic-tent-cave5

The Cave tent design by Heimplanet is a tent like no other. Rather than being based on rigid struts, the tent assumes its kickass structure (Inflatable Diamond Grid FYI) through the inflation of a network of supporting tubes. The geodesic shape’s stability is so impressive that guy ropes are only necessary in the windiest climes, tested up to 120km/h… The look of the tent cannot fail to make you the slickest in the campsite – but frankly these are designed for far more extreme and exotic destinations. The Mikasi tipi, by designers Sascha Akkermann and Flo Florian is a fabulous example. Continue reading

“Forget fuel, charge your gadgets, while supporting a better world?” Another case of playing around with words while in fact this is not the case? Well, thankfully for all, not!

The BioLite Campstove is indeed managing to combine all of these features, while not forgetting to look super elegant and funky at the same time. How does it manage to do so? Continue reading
