Within a three hour flight from LA, accompanied by a quick drive and a boat ride, the beautiful hillside boutique resort of Verana awaits you in Yelapa’s lush Mexican jungle. This remote and secluded resort has a wonderful location, overlooking the ocean with a panoramic view of the mountains deep in the Valle del Sierra Madre Occidental.
Verana offers all sorts of accommodations, however the Palapa, Casa Piedra and Tea House were the ones who caught my eye, offering beautiful bay views and jungle backdrop combined with relaxing outdoor spaces, rustic charm and the perfect romantic ambiance.

Yes, it sure does look like it. Great space, great location… all that’s missing is the great company.
We have never been to one of these types of “luxury bungalow / tent” places but they look like just about the most romantic getaway option out there. We could be wrong, but is this what they mean when they talk about Heaven?!
