The Luminhaus, a Rocio Romero prefabricated home, is a modern mountain family retreat, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Amherst, Virginia.
With the help of friends and family, Jennifer Watson and Barry Bless purchased this prefab kit home for approx. $99,000, and by acting as their own general contractors they did a lot of the construction labor themselves.
This glass and steel, Bauhaus-inspired vacation home includes two bedrooms and one bathroom.
There’s also a new outdoor shed – resembling a glowing Japanese lantern due to its translucent material – that can be used as an ambient light as well as a sculptural element in the garden.
