The creative team of graphic designer Anna Farkas and interior designer Miklos Batisz has joined forces to produce the Starry Light lamp collection by Anagraphic.

Anna’s thought process was two-fold. Her idea was to create a functional and beautiful pendant light that reflected the starry sky she sees outside her home in Budapest, Hungary. This lightweight, powder coated aluminum lampshade projects a soft, indirect light downward for intimate dinners, and a strong, direct light that shines upward and outward onto the adjacent walls and ceiling above for a celestial view of beauty. Inspired by the leaves that fall in autumn, Madrid-based designer Verónica Martínez created the Leaf Swing. The Swing is an exquisite example of functional art and is available in two mediums- wood and cast aluminum. The cast aluminum Leaf Swing received 1st prize at the International Design Feria de las Ciudades Sostenibles at Porto, Portugal 2012. A great feature of the clock is that it is sound activated and you can turn it on by clapping your hand or clicking your fingers (and it also automatically turns off). Terracotta clay is one of my favorite materials and it is not often used in modern design. It is earthy, warm and has a rich red/brown tone. British designer Benjamin Hubert took on the task of using terracotta to create his modern collection called ‘Pots’ and the result is exceptional.
