Some people say gray is not a color, but I think you can do wonders with gray, and create a relaxing and sophisticated look for your home. Take a look at how fashion designer David Meister and Hollywood talent manager Alan Siegel made a celebration of gray throughout their modern Los Angeles home.
Benjamin Moore’s Classic grays play a leading role in setting the tone of this house. And the furniture are no different – rugs, sofas, chairs, pillows and bedding are in colors best described as smoke, stone, taupe, gray, beige or greige, combined with black lacquer and dark-stained natural wood.
The overall look is neutral and contemporary, where luxurious finishes and textures play off one tonality. I love how natural light streams into the house, coloring spaces in shades of gold.
A spiral staircase leads up to the master suite, where art packs a colorful punch at the top of the stairs; glass walls wrap the shower, providing views from both sides.
Personally I prefer my living space to display a lived-in look, however this home is enriched by uninterrupted clean lines and a gray palette, is neatly arranged and in perfect order, thanks to built-in dressers, drawers and various storage space .
“Everything is put away,” Siegel says. “You don’t see any signs of life. It’s very peaceful, and there is solitude.”

Gray is absolutely my favorite color. It can read warm or cool, but it is always calm and soothing. Great house.
