apartment in Barcelona: Retro eclectic design

Fasten your seat belts, we are flying to Barcelona to visit a super lively apartment, that we won’t easily forget! Retro, eclectic and industrial elements merge together to make up a unique space filled with flair and personality. On the first place, what attracts me the most is the large open plan kitchen with the generous dining area. Look at that large wooden table! The low profile black chairs around it, nicely matching the three black pendant lights. And then, the white subway tile wall, the industrial shelving, the uncovered pipe running along right under the ceiling, the exposed wooden beams! So much texture, so many details and yet it all feels spacious and calm enough, while full of interest.

The geometric tile that covers what seems to be all the apartment, from the kitchen-dining area to the living area and the bedroom is absolutely fantastic and surprises with the way it simply makes it all come together to a beautiful whole. My heart is skipping for that fresh blue Acapulco chair, addressing the boldly painted blue wall just behind the sofa in the sitting area. I love the doors and shades everywhere and particularly the use of white paint to bring in and reflect enough light, so that the colors can be brighter than ever!

As for the bedroom, it is utterly inviting in all its simplicity and humbleness, an old painted green closet being the main point of attraction, together with the window opening to a nice view, while allowing pretty light to stream in.
