Eclipse nesting tables: temporarily obscured

Organic forms and design attract me particularly. The Eclipse nesting tables, designed by Jon Gasca in 2009 and available at Stua, are a great example. Inspired by the organic shapes found in nature, the designer aimed at allowing personal expression, offering his own vision of the classic nesting tables.

Four tables with different surface shapes, sizes and heights that can all be stored one under the other. The smaller ones can disappear under the immediate larger ones just as an eclipse would do. When there is need they can be brought out, being arranged just according to each specific situation. The combinations and possibilities are endless.

The tables are strongly characterized by the sleek, smooth, rounded edges of the surfaces. A gentle, elegant and functional detail. Find the surface available in four finishes, ranging from a satin white lacquer to matt finishes of natural oak, walnut and wenge.

The legs are made from solid steel and you’ll be able to easily attach and secure them under the surfaces. To ensure stability each table comes with three legs, all of which have a felt insert in the lower part to prevent floor damage when sliding.

The tables can be purchased individually, a fact which emphasizes the designer’s aspiration to promote creativity and freedom of expression. Choose whatever suits you best. From the four available sizes. The larger – XL – one measuring 75 x 111 x 30 cm respectively for width, length and height, the large – L – having a size of 56 x 71 x 20 cm, the medium – M – one 44 x 55 x 25 cm and the smaller – S – one 37 x 46 x 20 cm.
