A simple square with setback square legs, the Origami table has a several variations, each after a folded paper shape, but geometrically designed so that the aerial view is always a square. Our favorite variation is the centerfold version, where a deep v in the center serves to stabilize the table, but also to act as storage.
This is one of those pieces that can help to tailor naturally messy humans to modern, ordered interiors, by putting a storage slot right where ‘things’ tend to accumulate. Speedy tidy is possible with the sweep of an arm. For those of a more OCD nature, the repeated triangular and quadrant shapes are nicely uniform, accentuated by the grain of the veneer finish.
The perfect spot that springs to mind is a media agency waiting room, but Origami would also match Japanese-inspired spaces, student lofts and coffee shops.
Now we want an origami bed and dining table please!
