The Lap Shelving Unit is ideal for individuals who want to simplify their lives and do it in an incredibly stylish manner. The Lap consists of modular shelving units based on a solid oak frame upon which you can add bookshelves, trays and boxes. What is unique about the Lap Shelving Unit is that it allows for a beautiful play of forms while maintaining a clean and sophisticated modern look.
Created by Belgian designer Marina Bautier, the Lap is a highly versatile piece of furniture. The frame and shelves are made from solid oak and there are also white colored add-ons made from powder-coated folded sheet metal.
The add-ons include a tray shelf, a deep box and a shallow box. A great feature is that the boxes can drop into and overlap the frame enhancing the dynamics between the wood and the white add-ons.
The Lap Shelving Unit comes in a variety of heights and widths so that you can customize it to meet the needs of your home or office. You can choose from 3 heights- Tall (1930mm), Medium (1565mm) and Low (805mm). The standard width is 1060 mm but you can also order the Extended width available in either 2090, 3120 or 4150 mm. The depth of the shelves is 350 mm.
