It looks like real wood but it’s not. It’s recycled plastic. I found a company based in Johannesburg, South Africa that converts plastic waste into an environmentally friendly product called â€œTimber Plastics”.
Why cut down our forests when we can use recycled plastic, mold it and shape it into timber to produce a variety of products; from decks and boardwalks to outdoor furniture.
“Currently we re-cycle the equivalent of 37 800 000 plastic bags per month or 2 268 000 2-litre cool drink bottles.”
