RH Sconce lighting: previous century charm

Currently in the process of remaking our recently fit glossy white kitchen, dark shades of grey for just one wall and industrial lighting fitted on it seem to dominate my visions. An eternal lover of light and white paint, a simple and effective way of bringing in even more light through reflections, especially when winter approaches, dark tones and atmospheric lighting seem to attract me. When I stumbled upon the classic sconce lighting collection from RH, I felt I might have as well found a very good candidate to fulfill my plans.

From the three finish options, among weather zinc, weathered rust and aged steal, the latter one is the perfect choice to create a moody and elegant environment. Its grayness and texture is emphasized by the golden exposed hardware, in a design that reminds of early 20th century industrial lighting. The Filament Bulb sconce is part of the reproduction of vintage features retaining classic lines.

What makes this lamp take off is in fact the light bulb itself, an Edison style squirrel cage filament bulb, perfectly fitting the body of the lamp, bringing out all its beauty. I think the warm, golden light should match quite nicely with the golden exposed hardware, don’t you think? Imagine this reflecting on a rich dark grey wall, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

The Filament bulb scone in aged steel measures 5 3/4 inches in length, 4 1/2 in width and 5 inches in height. It comes together with the aforementioned bulb, which can be maximum up to 40 Watt.
