As a life-long fan of kitchen appliances, and perhaps a little obsessive with them, it is reassuring to find a set like Ole Jensen’s. The starkly-designed set of cups, plates, pitchers, juicers, bowls, and storage containers is something of an ideal.
The simple, pastel colors of the set and with designs that emphasize use, not so much attraction, all contribute to its appeal.
But that is almost the Ole Jensen set’s deception. It is completely functional, but it is also beautiful because you’re not preoccupied with all sorts of flourishes. Everything seems to be derived from the same dimpled design at its core. They are just variations on the same, simple – yet beautiful – principle.
