NLXL & Studio Job

NLXL is the brainchild of Piet Hein Eek and NLXL founders Rick and Esther Vintage, headquartered in the Netherlands. In 2014, the design world was delighted to learn that they had announced their collaboration with Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of the iconic Studio Job. This small yet mighty company has unveiled yet another unique collection of extraordinary wallpapers that are now available to the public. A diverse collection of floral, geometric and botanical prints will please a wide range of styles from classic to quirky.

What makes these wallpapers so different is there is no repeat (aka: each roll is a “one of a kind”), they are colorfast and washable with a soft cloth and glue is applied to the wall, allowing for ease of installation. Sizes start at 53 sq. ft. and are well priced from 199.00 euros.

“L’Afrique” is heavily detailed and full of bright colors reminiscent of the African culture, which the designers used as their inspiration for this delightful design. This engaging pattern would look lovely mixed with a slipcovered turquoise blue sofa, club chairs and classically inspired antiques.

The concept of the “Labyrinth” pattern was first used in a fanciful garden design in Japan. This lively geometric would look perfect mixed in with contemporary furnishings and anchored with navy blue.

“Withered Flowers” was conceptualized using the William Morris color scheme and spirited flower patterns. The color palette of this wallpaper motif would look perfect in a Victorian or Palladian style home. This pattern is also available in black and white.
